To add a community support dimension to our event, we are again hosting a Robots to the Rescue Food Drive. The food pantry at the Malta Community Center relies on donations from the community to remain stocked. It serves as an emergency food pantry and is a source of assistance for people facing unexpected emergencies or hardships. The Center is open six days a week and people can stop in anytime from 8:00 am-8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday. Our goal is to increase access to nutritious food for those in need.
The Center does not have the ability to store refrigerated products. Shelf stable products packed with protein are always needed. Examples of items are peanut butter, tuna fish, canned meat/meals, microwave ready meals, dry, canned milk (or Stewart's milk certificates), boxes of macaroni and cheese, etc.
